FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you only do bouquet preservations for weddings?

Although weddings are a common floral event, we can preserve flowers from any occasion that you would like to commemorate the memory of! Baby showers, anniversaries, dances, or even losing a loved one, preserved flowers can help us cherish those memories forever.

How long will the preservation process take?

As of right now, my project turnaround time is around 6 months from the date I receive your flowers. Usually, I can complete art pieces within this period. This is considering pressing/drying as well as the time for art creation. It is typically shorter, but due to the number of orders received in the past few months, my working timeframe has been extended. Once we have caught up on orders, the timeline should lessen.

This timeframe is an estimate, not an exact. Sometimes our working process can be sped up or slowed down by a few days to a few weeks depending on how busy our current order work month is.

Some specialty resin requests and multiple items can cause me to exceed this timeframe and sometimes I don’t know it will be a longer project until I get started, so please advise if there are any certain time parameters you would like to keep within. These pieces I create for you take time and I want to make sure that this is something you can cherish.

I treat every bouquet like it is gold! I completely understand the importance of these flowers and what I am creating for you, so we treat everything with the utmost care. I like to think of these as heirloom pieces that will last lifetimes to come.

Please allow additional time to complete orders with 3 or more items as these typically exceed our general timeframe.

WE LOVE BIG ORDERS! THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING THE EXTRA TIME THEY TAKE TO COMPLETE :)

What do I need to know about shipping my bouquet?

Once the deposit is paid, I will send you a confirmation email as well as shipping information. This will advise you on how to pack and preserve your flowers. If needed, I can advise you more specifically based on your bouquet style or flowers that you have.

HOW SOON SHOULD I SHIP MY FRESH FLOWER / WEDDING BOUQUET?

It is best to overnight or the next day your flowers to me 2-3 days after the event. We can still accept flowers that are further past that timeframe but keep in mind the pressing quality will lessen as more time passes. Please make arrangements to ship your bouquet to me before your event: make a plan with a bridesmaid/parent/trusted friend. Colored flowers do tend to have longer windows to work within.

PACKAGING

Package tight where there is not a lot of room for the flowers to move around but also the flowers are free from being pushed up against anything. You can easily ship your flowers, we will provide more detailed instructions on where you can send your flowers once you have secured your spot with us.

Here are a few items you will need for packing:

  • Medium size box

  • Ice Packs

  • Paper Towels

  • Newspaper, Packing Peanuts

  • Packing Tape

  • Flowers

ASSOCIATED COSTS

The shipping cost of the flowers to me can vary, USPS has the more conservative pricing and is just as reliable as other services. I have seen USPS costs vary from $75-$100, costs with UPS and Fed-Ex can tend to be higher around $100-$200.

Once your piece is completed, there will be a flat rate cost for shipping of $40, additional insurance is mandatory and will be valued at the cost of the invoiced package, rounded up.

My bouquet is already completely dried, are you still able to preserve it?

Absolutely! If the flowers are already completely dried, we have tons of lovely dried flower designs.

Dried flowers have a beauty all their own, even if you dried them upside down in a closet! I enjoy highlighting the rich colors and great textures of different dried flowers and greenery, but most of all giving a beautiful new life to those flowers you have been saving for so long. This is a great option if you missed the window for fresh flower preservation and our books are full. There is no timeframe limit so we can accept more orders like this.

What abOUT SUCCULENTS?

Unfortunately, we are not able to preserve succulents. Most succulents are around 90% water. This causes a myriad of issues including molding and rotting.

will you alter or enhance my flower’s natural colors?

No, we will not. We love the natural beauty of flowers and we have many years of preserving florals of all kinds. We do not color-enhance or alter florals whatsoever once we have received them. We appreciate and cherish each flower for its own unique and beautiful coloring :)

What is the payment process?

FOR FRESH FLOWER BOUQUET PRESERVATIONS:

  • A $100 deposit is required to secure a space in our calendar. The remaining balance won’t be due until your pieces are complete.

  • Once your piece is finished, I will send photos and get your approval.

  • After approval is received, I will email an invoice (or Venmo is always an option) for the remaining balance.

  • Invoice payment is due within 10 days of receipt. We are glad to work out payment plans/arrangements that work within your budget.

  • We also accept gold/gold bars as payment. If this is something you are interested in for your payment method, please contact us so we can work together on this.

FOR DRIED FLOWER BOUQUET PRESERVATIONS:

No deposit is required. You can order directly from our Air Dried Flower Shop. Feel free to reach out and work out payments for this option as well.

WHAT IF MY FINAL PAYMENT IS LATE?

If you let the final invoice delay past 10 days with no communication, we will not be held responsible for any scratches, scuffs, or damages that may occur in our storage. A $10 storage fee will apply after 30 days and the invoice will be canceled after 60 days of no communication. I want to work with you, so please let me know how I can help.

WHAT IF I HAVE ALREADY SECURED MY DATE, BUT I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT PRESERVING MY BOUQUET?

Unfortunately, we are not able to refund deposits for bouquet preservations. Each deposit, or saved date, is holding a spot and keeping additional reservations from being scheduled. This is outlined on our Save the Date page as well.

When we receive a new order, we purchase the necessary materials for each order as well as spend 1 to 5 hours reviewing each client’s specific requests and generating custom, client folders for each order.

We want to work with you! As an alternative, you can gift your deposit payment to a loved one or use it towards the purchase of any of our other designs or keepsakes. Keep in mind, your deposit will not expire! We are happy to work with you at a later date to commemorate any special event!
